CAROLINE JONES

Caroline Jones is an art consultant and certified practicing valuer with 20 years experience in auction houses, commercial galleries and private collections.

Caroline began her career in Sydney with Goodmans Auctioneers, which later partnered with Bonhams, one of the world's oldest and largest auctioneers of fine art and antiques. She also held various roles with Menzies Art Brands between 2008-2019. Caroline managed a commercial gallery in Sydney between 2011-2013, exhibiting the work of Australian and international contemporary multi-disciplinary artists.

With 20 years of experience, Caroline brings a wealth of industry knowledge and contacts to her consulting work. Caroline works with both private, corporate and public clients procuring and commissioning works of art, managing collections, valuing artworks and researching and writing on art for print and digital media. Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Art History from the University of Sydney and a Masters of Art Administration from UNSW Art & Design. She is a certified practicing valuer with the Auctioneers and Valuers Association of Australia (AVAA) and Member of the Art Consulting Association of Australia (ACAA).

When considering acquiring art on the primary or secondary market, Caroline can provide guidance and due diligence reporting prior to committing to any purchases. Taking the time to research and ask questions can avoid costly and regrettable mistakes.
